Came up to Clare in 1952 to read law.
One of three Sassoon brothers who came to Clare (1905). NB He lived at 4 Market Hill, Cambridge during his time at Clare.
Joseph Senior (1911) studied Classics, was awarded the Greene Cup in 1915 and Owst Prize for Classics (for finishing in top 6 across the University in Part II). He was killed in action in 1917 serving with the Royal Flying Corps.
This was part of Archive display arranged for the Blythe Society Luncheon in the Fellows Library on 13th May 2006. The majoiry of the display had been repeated from the Archive display held in December 2005 but the section for the FML was new and was arranged specially for the 20th anniversary. This was partly repeated for the Library Anniversary in September 2006.
This was partly repeated from the display that had been set up in May 2006.
This display was arranged for the leaving celebrations for the Senior Tutor, Polly O'Hanlon, in December 2006 and was then reused for other events in the Fellows' Library during that month as well as for the College Open Day in 2007 (with minor alterations).
There were two visits during 2010 for which displays were arranged: the first in March 2010 by a group from the WEA class held in Great Gransden led by local historian and teacher, Honor Ridout and the second by a smaller group from the village society, led by Val Davison in preparation for a further visit by the society in June 2011.
