The Yorkshire Clare College Dinner or the Leeds Club were dinners held for alumni of Clare who lived in Yorkshire. Lack of attendance led to suspension of the club in the mid 1980s although some dinners have since been held in Yorkshire for Clare alumni under the name the Yorkshire Club.
As mentioned by Harrison in Notes on the Masters, Fellows etc, (1953) the Buttery account books are the only source other than the Statutes in which the names of Scholars can be found.
Drawn and painted by Peter Darvall and submitted to the College as part of his application to study architecture at Clare in 1947.
During the construction of Castle House it was referred to variously as the New College Hostel or the Castle Hill Hostel or even the new building/hostel to the rear of 14/20 Castle Street, NB Castle End had also been called Castle Hill Hostel at one point.

Peter Stephen Goddard was Master of Clare and Prebendary of Peterborough.
Thomas Hewett was admitted to Clare in 1694. He studied medicine and went on to become a Fellow of the College.
Sharp was at Clare from 1879 and left his manuscripts to Clare College,
