This is a new section created for the papers relating to the construction of new buildings or the refurbishment (both large and small scale) of buildings from the early twentieth century onwards. For papers relating to the management of College properties for the same period see CCAD/3/7. For minutes and reports of the two main Committees involved see Buildings Committee CCAD 4/3 and Needs Committee CCAD/4/7.

The Colony comprises several houses or lodging houses, some of which were built by Clare and some were already in existence in the early twentieth century. Castlebrae was built by Agnes and Samuel Lewis in 1889 on land leased by the College and then it passed to Clare College in 1926 and was converted into lodgings. Braeside & Etheldreda were built later and led to the existence of "the Colony"; various refurbishments have taken place since with the most recent being conversion of Castle End to high quality accomodation 2008-2009

Movember was an intiative through which money would be raised by sponsoring an individual to grow a moustache during the month of November.

Clare College established a dedicated school liaison officer post in 2003, the role being designed to outreach to children at schools in Warwickshire, Coventry and inner city parts of London including Tower Hamlets and encourage them to apply to a University place at Cambridge.

Previously known as Amalgamated Clubs (from 1886), Junior Common Room (JCR) significant by 1968-1972; Clare College Student Association (CCSA) from 1972-1989 and later Union of Clare Students (UCS) from 1989. More recently the main business of the UCS (formally JCR) is run by the Executive Committee.

From 1988-2011 the College bar was run by the Deputy Catering Manager in conjunction with representatives from the JCR and MCR. In 2011 the running of the bar was given back to the MCR and JCR but with the Deputy Catering Manager remaining as overall manager.

The final volume of the Clare Association Annual was produced for the academic year 2015-16 - as of 2017 the publication has been combined with the College Annual Report to form Clare News , a newsletter produced by the College Development Office.
