Founded by 1885 (including Bede House Association, from 1938). The original mission church of the Epiphany was built in1886 but demolished in 1909 when the foundations were found to be subsiding. A new church was dedicated in 1912. It later became an artists' studio. For a history of the church building please see 'the church of the epiphany booklet' at CCAD/5/1/2/3/4.
Ricardo Chieppa worked at Clare college for 26 years until his retirement in 2010.
As mentioned by Harrison in Notes on the Masters, Fellows etc, (1953) the Buttery account books are the only source other than the Statutes in which the names of Scholars can be found.
This is a new section created for the papers relating to the construction of new buildings or the refurbishment (both large and small scale) of buildings from the early twentieth century onwards.
