Volumes containing manuscript biographical notes for alumni arranged by matriculation year 1326-1899 compiled by W J Harrison, College bursar during Henry Thirkill's mastership and a significant contributor to the College history - he published 'Notes on the Masters, Fellows, Scholars and Exhibitioners of Clare College' and 'Life in Clare Hall, Cambridge, 1658-1713'.. This research formed the basis for Harrison's publication 'Notes on the Masters, Fellows, Scholars and Exhibitioners of Clare College' (1953).
