Envelope containing correspondence making arrangements for a lecture tour of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark which took place in February and March 1946. The original invitation coming from the Geological and Geographical Societies of Norway, Sweden and Denmark and which was then arranged by the British Council. Also an envelope of travel documents and a list of expenses incurred in Odell’s handwriting, and a collection of calling cards from academics.

(g) Letter from The British Council in Helsinki forwarding a photograph as a souvenir of his visit to Kuopia and informing him that there had been a great upsurge of interest in mountaineering after his lecture and they were sending them the ‘conquest of Everest’ film to ‘carry on his good work’.
