This collection is made up of two separate deposits - one transferred from the Fellows Library and the second a gift to the Archives directly.

Mathematical papers, including:

(1) tables of data gathered for Edmond Halley's survey of solar and lunar eclipses (in preparation for the 1715 solar eclipse), transcribed by Charles Morgan from figures 'communicated by' Clare fellow, Martin Folkes.

(2) Morgan's manuscript copies of texts by Isaac Newton and Isaac Barrow (some taken from manuscripts, some from published works).

(3) Notes and data in other hands, including Martin Folkes and Roger Cotes.

Consists of:

(1) Essays and other notes written by Cressy for Dr Elton Schofield during Cressy's time as a student at Clare in the 1960's (m 1963)

(2) History tripos exam papers that were sat by Cressy

(3) copy of 1967 Lady Clare that he edited

(4) Invitation to dinner from Geoffrey Elton, 9 Oct 1966

(5) Invitation for Party in Clare Crypt, 19 Feb c.1965

(6) miscellaneous correspondence

Manuscripts of fourteen compositions: thirteen are songs and the other is a miniature suite for full orchestra; also newspaper cuttings and other papers.

Diaries written by Dr Ernest Charles Rogers at Clare College 1877-1879 and book of poems "Christmas greetings" by Dr Showell Rogers (1902). The first diary contains an obituary for William Showell Rogers (1899).
