Historical notes made on Thomas Arnold from mss sources at Rugby school. Included with these notes are correspondence between Forbes and the headmaster of Rugby, Hugh Lyon, concerning the Thomas Arnold mss.
The mss from Rugby school that Forbes made some notes from are titled "1829, fragment of a preface to a proposal", "1831, on the present state of the question of Christian evidence", "Theological 2" and "English Politics, written in 1835 but never published".
Includes biography of Hotchkin written by Brian Palmer published in Rutland Record 28 (for 2008) Journal of the Rutland Local History & Record Society after he carried out research on Hotchkin in the Clare archives.
