This is a volume with correspondence pasted in on most pages, apparently arranged in sections by author and then in chronological order; mainly for the Civil War period, but also some later; also file of loose correspondence; Two letters of particular interest are from the Earl of Essex and Cromwell allowing safe conduct for Fellows and students during the Civil War.
Most significant letters include orders of Earl of Manchester, Committee for Reformation of the Universities, and Charles II, concerning administration of Clare College
