Information concerning the fireplace in the Hall, the elaborate Victorian surround that was installed in the 1870s, the simpler version that replaced it in 1935 and it's subsequent complete removal in the late 1970s/ early 1980s.

Also includes anecdotes concerning undergraduates having to walk down tables to get out of the middle of benches during a meal.

This was part of Archive display arranged for the Blythe Society Luncheon in the Fellows Library on 13 May 2006.
The majority of the display had been repeated from the Archive display held in December 2005 but the section for the FML was new and was arranged specially for the 20th anniversary. This was partly repeated for the Library Anniversary in September 2006.
