The Master was also College Bursar until 1880, when the first Bursar was appointed, though assistant bursars had been periodically appointed to help administer College finances. Audit books and other financial records created under the aegis of the Master can be found in section 'C' of this catalogue, 'Bursar and College accounts'.
The Master was also responsible for College estates for much of Clare's history. Records of these are found in section 'D', 'Estates'.
