Unidad documental compuesta CCA: J/3/2 - Chapel register

Records of Fellows' turns of preaching 1919-1927 and undergraduate churchwardens 1921-26. A note in 1927 explains that no further record of services was kept after 1927. The volume was reused from 1951 for Chapel accounts 1951-1961, listing numbers of communicants at each service, amounts collected and destination of collection money. With annual summary accounts 1951-61.

Clare Chapel was and remains subject to St Edwards Church for the authorising of baptisms and marriages and so the registers there may include records of the sacraments performed at Clare. However, it is has proved difficult to locate these registers on previous occasions in response to enquiries.
