Papers in this series relate to research trips undertaken by Majerus and tend to include itineraries for the trips along with proposals for research to be undertaken and papers written either as a result of that research or that were presented at the conference that was part of the research trip. There is also some correspondence concerning the organisation of aspects of conferences or research trips.

Research trips were:

2005: Australia, Rome, Kibale (Uganda), Japan, Canmore (Canada)

2006: Puerto Rico, Bath, Glasgow, Madagascar

2007: Ecuador, Brussels, Toulouse, Zakynthos, Uppsala, Athens, Rwanda

2008: Tanzania. There are also a large number of photographs taken of butterflies whilst in Tanzania on the research trip included with the papers from Tanzania.

Includes notes relating to the talks given and correspondence with representatives of organisations and institutions where talks were given.

Contains notes relating to peppered moth evolution. Includes newspaper cuttings and copies of artciles by Majerus written about peppered moths.

Letters mainly from James (Jim) Marris to his parents (Pop and Mum), George Christopher and Nancie Marris and his brother, Tyrell Marris, while at Clare between 1942 and 1943. They mention work, attendance at lectures, debates and the theatre, fire watching, rowing and participating in the bumps, sailing, setting up the College Labour group and joining the STC (Student Training Corps).

Mathematical papers, including:

(1) tables of data gathered for Edmond Halley's survey of solar and lunar eclipses (in preparation for the 1715 solar eclipse), transcribed by Charles Morgan from figures 'communicated by' Clare fellow, Martin Folkes.

(2) Morgan's manuscript copies of texts by Isaac Newton and Isaac Barrow (some taken from manuscripts, some from published works).

(3) Notes and data in other hands, including Martin Folkes and Roger Cotes.
