Envelope containing correspondence making arrangements for a lecture tour of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark which took place in February and March 1946. The original invitation coming from the Geological and Geographical Societies of Norway, Sweden and Denmark and which was then arranged by the British Council. Also an envelope of travel documents and a list of expenses incurred in Odell’s handwriting, and a collection of calling cards from academics.
This series contains material relating to the Himalayas and Everest [Odell's diaries relating tot he 1924 attempt on Everest have been retained by the family].
Two printed copies of a section showing Mount Everest, North Col, East Rongbuk Glazier, and Chodzong. The section itself is undated but a compliment slip with them is dated 1972.
